Dr. Kevin L. Gyoerkoe is a licensed psychologist whose passion is helping adults and children overcome anxiety and OCD-related disorders. Dr. Gyoerkoe provides state-of-the-art Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through his practice, The Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Gyoerkoe has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults suffering from anxiety and OCD-related disorders. As an expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dr. Gyoerkoe is certified by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
In addition to his full-time private practice in Charlotte, Dr. Gyoerkoe enjoys presenting at national conferences and other audiences on the treatment of anxiety and OCD. He most recently presented on Exposure Therapy for OCD at the Anxiety and Depression Association of America's 2014 Annual Conference in Chicago.
Dr. Gyoerkoe is also an active teacher, serving as an assistant professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology from 2002-2009. His excellence in teaching was recognized when he received the Adjunct Faculty of the Year award in 2004.
Dr. Gyoerkoe is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) and the International Obsessive Compulsive Foundation (IOCDF) and serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Beyond OCD as well as a board member for the Mental Health Association of the Central Carolinas.
Dr. Gyoerkoe is an active writer who aims to offer his most effective techniques for defeating anxiety and OCD to a large audience. Consistent with this vision, he has co-authored three books: Ten Simple Solutions to Worry, The Pregnancy and Postpartum Anxiety Workbook, and The Worrier's Guide to Overcoming Anxious Procrastination.
